The most comprehensive video i’ve found on niche research so far. Thank you so much.
I just found your blog and am very happy I did. Look forward to learning more from you in the future.
ReplyHi Pat,
Thanks for all the work you have done! I have learnt a lot from all these info!
I have a question about Market Samurai. When I research about SEO Competition of my keyword, what I find is the top 4 results are webpages of Amazon.com and the fifth one is an article from ehow.com. Do I have to bother these results which have high domain age and Google Index Count?
Thank you.
ReplyHi Pat, I was just wondering why you picked “security guard training” as a niche site because it shows me a competition of 350,000. And in this video you set the SEOC filter to 40,000. Is the number more important or the strength of the competition?
btw your videos are really helpful
Replycan someone help me out please? Whenever I use this program to generate keywords from an original keyword, it’ll create a list. when I click to analyze that list, it deletes all but maybe 5 of them EVERY TIME before I’ve even had a chance to set the filters! How do I stop that?
Replyi think what you really need here is some

Come on Pat huge rookie mistake man, your searching on broad match type instead of exact.
ReplyHey Pat,
great stuff on niche selection. Very helpful. Since you seem to be creating a lot of videos, can I ask you for a favor? We are building a service to automatically upload videos to youtube – Qikest dotcom. Would love it if you can give it a try and give us some feedback.
Hi Pat.
Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Around the 8:00 mark in the video, you mention that if you didn’t find an available domain name with the keyword phrase ‘cop training’ in it, that you would not pursue the niche relating to those keywords any further.
Is the inclusion of the keywords in the domain name so important that you would you be willing to do this even if the top ten search results for those keywords indicate low page rank, low backlink, and low age domain numbers?
Great video. How did you keep from getting local results in your SEOC? I am trying to get worldwide only.
ReplyIf you have a mostly local business, lets focus on keywords which target those markets as opposed to using keywords which market on a national basis. If your business depends on a certain age demographic, it’s wise to use as much age specific language as possible for example. If you’re trying to sell Medicare policies to people over 65 you are probably wasting your time by hash tagging your twitter posts: #yolo. See what we mean? We want to suggest meaningful keywords based on your goals rather than just stumbling through a strategy. To know more and get seo help visit here http://www.lyftseo.com/services.html
ReplyHey pat. would this still work in todays market 2017? Thank you
ReplyYIKES!!! I thought something was wrong with my computer for a second! Great content Pat, hope you redo your video one day.
